The forum software on this site has been updated to phpBB version 2.0.6. If you're running PHP-Nuke 6.5 on your site and want to upgrade to the latest version of phpBB Forums, this is a fairly simple process. You can get the update files over on www.NukeCops.com
The files you will need are:Run them in that order, i.e. install the files for 2.0.5 and run the update script, then go back and install the 2.0.6 files and run that update file too, e.g. it's a two-step process.
If this process confuses you as much as it does most ppl, and it's kept you from updating your phpBB software, check out this thread on Nuke Cops:It spells it out pretty well.
This is definitely an upgrade worth doing for the sake of security if nothing else!

Hey Vin mate. At the moment I am running Nuke 6.5. My current forum version looks like this:
| Quote: |
Module's Name: Forums
Module's Version: 2.1
Module's Description: phpBB port v2.1 based on Tom Nitzschner's phpbb2.0.6 upgraded to phpBB 2.0.4 standalone was developed and tested by:
ArtificialIntel, ChatServ, mikem, sixonetonoffun and Paul Laudanski (aka Zhen-Xjell).

Author's Name: Nuke Cops
Author's Email: zx@nukecops.com |
Can I use your above instructions to upgrade the particular forum version I am running?
Cheers,
Zoltrix |

Yep, that should work for you. I run this site of Nuke 6.5 (mod'ed and patched). That sounds like the same setup I had before upgrading.
As always, make sure you backup your site before attempting ANY type of upgrade. That way you can restore it in case something goes terribly wrong... _________________ .::Buds not bombs::. |
